Binary package hint: update-manager
I have apt-listbugs installed. I had gutsy installed, ran the usual upgrade in adept, it upgraded, and then once that was finished it said something along the lines of "A new version of (K?)Ubuntu is available. Please click next if you wish to upgrade." (There was no Next button, only something along the lines of "Continue Upgrade"). Then the upgrader ran a bit, and at the "Installing the Upgrades" part, I'm guessing apt-listbugs choked because there wasn't a terminal open for it to ask:
