Mixer-applet prevents Suspendmode

Bug Description

Under Gutsy, the Suspendmodes aren't working for me. I only get a black screen, after a few seconds I can enter my password to get back to the Desktop. I noticed that the Gnome-mixer-applet has a heavy CPU Load (60-80%) so I removed it from the Panel. A few seconds later, Gutsy went into Sleepmode.

I use a Sounblaster Audigy 2 PCMCIA. I found out that the Problem maybe lies not in the Applet because the Problem with the Suspendmodes only occour when the SBA2 is plugged in. Without the attached SBA, suspend works fine.
