Bug Description

When I upgraded Xubuntu from 6.06 to 6.10 the screen was locked (as normal). My password was refused. When their seemed to be no more activity I turned the pc off. After restart some packages appeared to be broken.

Should screen saver not be turned off manually or automattically during upgrades, etc.?

Thank you for your report!

This is not a bug.

You should type your password carefully, also you should mention the active keyboard layout (if using more then one layout). Upgrade process may take a long time dependently on your internet connection bandwith and hardware, and disturbing it will lead to problems.
