Bug Description
Binary package hint: totem
When I start playing a video file (xvid codec in this case) with subtitles (.srt in this case) by simply making file names the same, putting both files in the same folder and double clicking the file (which opens totem) I can view the movie with subtitles. However, when playing the movie if I disable the subtitle by View > Subtitles menu video hangs and the only option is reloading the video.
I've seen the same bug reported for Ubuntu Dapper but as of today Gutsy has the same problem.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported, but feel free to report any other bugs you find. If the bug has been opened on dapper and is not closed yet then it's also there on gutsy (or it should be closed)
