Bug Description

I'm adding a screencast where I reproduce the bug three times. Sorry for huge size of the movie, I'll try to learn recordmydesktop better next time.

Hi, Kyzer.

The root cause may be the same, but symptoms are different. What is described in the bug report you mentioned, is the behaviour I was getting for Xemacs under Gnome when I was using Ubuntu. So whlie in Gnome maximizing Xemacs causes short hang-up, In xfce Xemacs maximizes instantly, but tabs bar starts to blink.

Again, it may is possible that the root cause for both these behaviours is one and the same.

I can reproduce this bug in Xubuntu Hardy 8.04.01 with all updates. Open Xemacs in a terminal, hit maximize.
The tab bar immediately starts flashing, and only stops when I hit the Maximize button again. I did get the following error message in the Terminal when I quit Xemacs:
"Warning: Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion"

I don't know if this is related.

Changed in xemacs21:
