Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

Loading certain programs such as Totem and Wine applications causes the DVI connected external display of my macbook to loose sync for a few seconds before returning.
Configured via xrandr.

The external Flat panel was configured with the following command:

xrandr --output TMDS-1 --mode 1680x1050 --above LVDS

The output to the display disappears for a few seconds when launching the following:
* Totem video player
* Any program that uses Wine.
