Bug: Java applet is still not seen.

~$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_03"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_03-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0_03-b05, mixed mode, sharing)

Since Kubuntu does not support sites with which I earn money, I am forced to use winxp.

I am not interested in security (since I visit only stock sites and I dont share any programmes/applications and dont open any suspicious mails) and crashes (since running only browser does not de stabilise win xp or kubuntu).
My 1st concern is functionality support which is important to people like me.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Thanks for submitting this issue.

Did you install the package sun-java6-plugin or better kubuntu-restricted-extras? You need to enable the restricted repositories (and multiverse) for this. See also https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Java and https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Java#head-c0ade16437f7da9136027572a9481cd65757bd41.

Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report and subsequently we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs .

I can run the urls below with Kubuntu and Firefox without any problems.
