abortion fail for linux installation

Bug Description
i had fail to abort from linux installation while it was in progress....
when i clicked cancel button from the linux installation the entire loading program just hang up there
but i can still access other program the other functions are working properly

Is it related to the installation procedure.....
normally to install the O/S we need to do it prior booting to the main screen
i did it in the main screen after booted from Ubuntu Live CD.....
