Bug Description
Binary package hint: debconf
This is debconf 1.5.14ubuntu1 from Gutsy Gibbon.
A simple template such as this one shows up blank in the debconf GNOME interface:
Template: foo/bar
Type: note
Description: foo
bar © baz.
This template looks just fine in the dialog frontend, haven't tested the others. It also shows up correctly on Feisty Fawn (debconf 1.5.13ubuntu1).
Of course, replacing these characters with ASCII counterparts works around the issue. (But hey, (c) looks ugly.)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
