Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Sometimes Rhythmbox plays two songs in the same time. I can control playing of one of them, but I can't control the other one and I have to close Rhythmbox and open it again.
Rhythmbox version: 0.11.2-0ubuntu4 (Ubuntu 7.10)

Yes, I'm using it. Now I switched it off and I will test if it does the same...

It seems that the crossfading backend is causing this bug, i turned off and now it seems like it works just fine.

I've facing this today, indeed crossfading is causing this problem.

I'm on Ubuntu 10.10 (upgraded from 10.4 LTS, where I never noticed this bug)

Steps to reproduce:
Search your library to generate a list of songs
Double click a song to start playing
use the Next key or XF86AudioNext
next song will begin playing, current song won't stop. Also, mild clicking in audio, and starting visualization doesn't work until the next song change.
