Hi!

Try to comment with "#" at the beginning the lines of lowvoice.nl... and attach your /etc/apt/sources.list to this bug.

Thanks

In this directory there are however several files, too long to report here. I think I should compress the directory, but this is rather difficult for me.

Hi,
I don't understand where you want me to add the '#' character to. Can you please explain which file you're referring to.

I will attach my /etc/apt/sources.list to this message.

Hi!

Don't use automatix, it breaks Ubuntu...

$ sudo apt-get --purge remove automatix

And replace yours sources.list with the one attached to this bug.

Next time, use Answers to ask for this type of questions, it isn't a bug.

I tried the above command line, however it did not remove automatix. I was able to remove automatix with Synaptic Package Manager.

Done.

Now when I use the menu option System / Administration / Update Manager

then I select "New distribution release '7.10' is available" [ Upgrade ] <--- button.

the upgrade begins normally then ends with a error.

"Error during update

A problem occured during the update. This is usually some sort of network problem, please check your network connection and retry.

Failed to fetch http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/dists/feisty/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz 404 Not Found

Thank you for your help. Now at least I'm only getting one (1) error instead of three errors.

I would appreciate your help as to what I should do next.
