Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
I have the two icons in the bottom right to switch desktops but don't have the recycle bin anymore, also the visual enhancements (compiz-fusion) are on, should I turn those off first?

did you try right clicking on your taskbar and selecting "Add to panel" , then it will give you the list of applications you want to add in your panel. One of the application should be recycle bin. Try Checking it else it will be good if you can give us the screenshots of your activity.
