Bug Description

Binary package hint: kmail

I'm running KMail 1.9.6 (enterprise 0.20070907.709405) (Gutsy KUbuntu) with the Italian locale (so neither the English/UK nor the English/US).

When I reply to an email I get the automatic "reply head line" with the date itself in english language and the rest of it in Italian.
I would expect to either have everything in Italian (preferred) or have everything in English. But never a mix of the two.

A number of other applications show the same behaviour.
I suspect an incomplete localization has bee published, as in Feisty the problem as not there. At least for KMail.

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release: 8.04
Codename: hardy
In Hardy, with KMail v.1.9.10, Kontact v1.2.9 and KDE v3.5.10, whenever I make a reply or a forward, I get an automatic "text header" whose date is in English (names of the months and of the weekdays) while the remaining parts are in Italian. Of course I have set up the Italian locale.
So the problem is still here.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make (K)Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of (K)Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/. Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
