I have problem with the workspace switcher

Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
I set five columns and three row but in the workspace switcher there are four columns and one row pictured. Changing the number of columns and rows the image displayed by the workspace switcher doesn't change. The problem appeared when i installed compiz setting manager and gnome compiz manager from synaptic. I tried to complete remove compiz and it works all well but reinstalling it the problem reappear. When push the win-e control (expo) i see 5x3 workspaces that work properly but not in the workspace switcher. I hope that my bug report is clear and usefull.
