[Gutsy] Writer crashes on several occassions - latest trying to do a hyperlink

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I'm operating on Edubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon and using the OpenOffice Writer Version 2.3 (which came with Gutsy. It has crashed on several occassions including saving the file, inserting new rows in a table and the latest was trying to create a hyperlink. Didn't get any further than clicking the hyperlink icon in menu. screen went light grey and nothing could persuade open office to respond. It does however do an excellent recovery of the file though... little compensation if ya still want to insert the hyperlink though.

Its a pain... can one revert to version 2.2?
