Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Gutsy 64 bits.
I have three layouts added from keyboard preferences applet - English(us), Russian and Latvian. From keybord (alts) I can switch only between two first layouts. For third layout I need mouse click on layout indicator applet.

xprop -root | grep XKB output:
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "base", "pc105", "us,ru,lv", ",winkeys,", "grp:alts_toggle"

Some additional information about this bug. If I add any fourth layout, switching from keyboard work good, but in layout properties applet function "Add" is disabled.

Thank you for your bug report. Does switching using the applet work correctly?

I'm seeing a slight variation on this in Hardy: I can't swtich away from the first configured layout using the keyboard shortcut. If I click the keyboard indicator applet to switch to the second layout, cycling further through the list using the keyboard shortcut works fine until I reach the first layout again (tested with two, three and four layouts).

My XKB rules are as follows:

_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "xorg", "pc105", "gb,no,fi,is", ",", "ctrl:nocaps,grp:alts_toggle"

I am experiencing exactly the same issue as Dagfinn Ilmari Mannsåker.

How can I see my XKB rules? What other information can I provide that could be helpful?

One additional small observation: Under gutsy, switching worked by pressing and holding the right Alt key (Alt Gr) and subsequently pressing the left Alt key. Under hardy, this is reversed, i.e. I need to press and hold the left Alt key, then press the right Alt key. I don't know if this has anything to do with this bug.

Additional information: this bug does not affect all the layout switching options. With "grps:shifts_toggle" it cycles all the way through as expected.
