apt-get upgrade does not work

Bug Description

When I do sudo apt-get upgrade, I get following error.
This is a major issue for installing and upgrading the applications.

@laptop1:~$ sudo apt-get upgrade

This works for me on a VMWare instance.
I'm using ubuntu-7.10-jeos-i386.iso on VMWare Workstation 6.01.

I tend to mark this as invalid, because winefix does not appear to be a Ubuntu package.

Can you provide the output of "apt-cache madison winefix" (from a terminal/console)?

From the errors it may be that you are missing the packages libgtk2.0-bin and shared-mime-info.
