libmtp 0.2.4 as shipped on hardy supports this player
thanks for your bug report

while waiting for hardy you might want to add to /etc/udev/rules.d/65-libmtp.rules the following lines
#Samsung YP-P2
SYSFS{idVendor}=="04e8", SYSFS{idProduct}=="5083", SYMLINK+="libmtp-%k", MODE="666"
