Bug Description
[gutsy usability] Search button (or CTRL-F) in Nautilus properly makes search bar visible on place of the Location bar. However one expects that consequent pressing of the Search button (or CTRL-F) would hide the Search bar and show the Location bar back (in the previous view state).
In easy words, Search button should work as on/off button.

Thanks for your report. The search bar not toggling when clicking the search button is covered by bug #57210, and I'm marking this bug as a duplicate of it. Feel free to edit that bug to include Ctrl+F behaviour as well.
