Bug Description
Hello, my compter is an Acer Aspire T620. using the kernel 2.6.23.8-386, my speaker's don't work because my Ubuntu says that it can't find them. Instead, using the same version of kernel, but the "generic" one, my speakers sound OK.
I hope you'll understand my bad english!

Unfortunately we cannot support issues encountered with kernels not distributed by Ubuntu. I suspect the issue may be related to the version of the ALSA libraries as compared to the version of the ALSA modules in your kernel, but there are a very large number of alternate possibilities.
