Evolution window sizing in Ubuntu 7.10

Binary package hint: evolution

Hi, I've recently installed Ubuntu 7.10 and everything works fine, except for my Evolution eMail client. When I open Evolution, the window opens at the size of about 1 and 1/2 Screen sizes large. When I try to resize it, the system only supports resizing in the "Y" direction but not in the "X" direction (left/right). What do I need to do in order to fix this problem..?
