Bug Description

Reported error was: Permission denied. This error message will only be shown once. The cause of the error needs to be fixed as quickly as possible, which is most likely a full hard drive.

I keep certain mathematical information and data on an external USB floppy.
Whenever I attempt to exit the program and 'unmount' the connection; I receive the above 'error' message.
Apparently, the information is saved - the floppy indicates over 80% availability.
Should I have any concern?

Thank you.

can you have a look at that bug and see whether it's the same problem or not ?

Hello Koen,

I agree with your statement; I'm unable to save the suggested:
"sudo chown (user) ~/.kde/share/apps/d31phin/bookmarks.xml"
and the same for the suggested:
"sudo chgrp (group) ~/.kde/share/apps/d31phin/bookmarks.xml".
What is wrong?
Any suggestions?

Hi,

did you try to open a terminal and execute the commands (assuming your name and group are laf) ?

sudo chown laf /home/laf/.kde/share/apps/d31phin/bookmarks.xml
sudo chgrp laf /home/laf/.kde/share/apps/d31phin/bookmarks.xml

Hello Koen,

When I initiate a 'Terminal' command, my screen reads as follows:

laf@laf-desktop:-$

I input the command: sudo chown laf
/home/laf/.kde/share/apps/d31phin/bookmarks.xml

The system asks for my 'Password'

It answers with: chown: cannot access
`/home/laf/.kde/share/apps/d31phin/bookmarks.xml': No such file or
directory

What do I do?
I've used the 'sudo' command in the past and never run into this situation.

Thanks

Hi Koen,

Changing the '1' to an 'l' did 'the trick,' as the saying goes.
The 'SUDO' commands were accepted.

Thanks for your assistance,

Cheers for now,

Larry
