Bug Description

Binary package hint: grub-installer

I've tried to install Ubuntu 7.10 on a software raid0 (configured right during installation), yet with no luck. grub-install would tell that grub can't get installed. No probs in case of raid1. Reproducible under vmware server.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?
