No hardware compatibility list included in manual. (Gutsy)

Bug Description

It would be useful if you could just look into Ubuntu's built-in manual before you buy new hardware. Unfortunately you cannot find any information on that question in the manual.

Hardware compatibility lists are difficult to maintain and as such are more suited to an online community resource than to the system manual. Such a resource already exists and can be found easily from google or the Ubuntu website.
