Tested both unity & ubuntu-gnome on 16.04.2
and both are constantly flickering from login to desktop and on LIVEusb on a product:

Haswell-ULT Integrated Graphics Controller and driver=i915

installing ubuntu 16.04 iso fixxed this with another kernel

plz fixx the flickering on 16.04.2 iso

lotuspsychje, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.

1) Could you please advise to why you use the non-default kernel parameter:
acpi_osi=Windows 2013

2) To see if this is already resolved in your release, could you please update your HWE stack as per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LTSEnablementStack and advise to the results?
