Bug Description
Hello,
I have a toshiba A30-901 laptop and I have touchpad problem.
The ubuntu hoary 5.04 come with kernel 2.6.10-5 and this kernel provoke the
touchpad to not be recognize at all and the keyboard to be recognize from time
to time by pressing the Shift or PrtScr key. From the differents threads I have
already read I can tell that there is a conflict between ACPI and i8042 driver.
But despite all my efforts, I could not afford to make that touchpad and that
keyboard working together with 2.6.10 kernel. One more thing is that the
frequency scalling doesn't work (certainly due to the conflict with ACPI)
By installing 2.6.8 kernel, I manage having the touchpad and the frequency
scalling working but that time I have some sound problem.
To conclude, the fan is always running even when the the frequency is the lowest
(with 2.6.8 kernel since the processor is always at frequency max with 2.6.10).
I hope I have been comprehensible (and sorry for my english).
