What do you mean exactly by "Just browse to thomas.co.nz and bang Firefox crashes."

I went to "tohomas.co.nz" using Firefox-2.0.0.10 (Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10) on my Linux x88 laptop,
I clicked on many links and never observed a crash. So I did not succeed in reproducing
the bug.

Is this something you can reproduce 100% of the time? If so please describe the
exact steps to reproduce it.

I see that you use 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP amd64 (whereas I use 2.6.20-16-generic #2 i686)
which could explain why I can't reproduce the bug.

Download full text (4.8 KiB)

It only crashes on AMD64 as I stated in the original bug report.

For the following run I disabled compis and all firefox addons and
started firefox from the command line. Apart for a dialog questioning
whether I want a new session or to restore the previous (I said new),
it crashes before the page is rendered. Bang, dead and now I have a
core file if any body would like it (3.8MB when bzipped)

Note that thomas.co.nz is the only site on which it crashes which
considering the simplistic and very light nature of the page is
somewhat of a worry.

davidwa@server:~$ firefox thomas.co.nz

Oh no! /usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin just dumped a core file.

Do you want to debug this ? You need a lot of memory for this, so
watch out ? [y/n] y
/usr/bin/gdb /usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin core

Core was generated by `/usr/lib/firefox/firefox-bin thomas.co.nz'.
