Bug Description

Binary package hint: libsane

The following entry was missing for my Brother Multifunction printer:

# Brother MFC 7020
SYSFS{idVendor}=="04f9", SYSFS{idProduct}=="0183", MODE="664", GROUP="scanner"

I obtained the vendor and product ids from sane-find-scanner

It would be better to only give the Vendor ID so all Brother devices are inculded. There are some devices without scanner, but that doesn't hurt them.

# Brother MFC and DCP
SYSFS{idVendor}=="04f9", MODE="664", GROUP="scanner"

Can a regex be done in the description?

Brother.*MFC
Brother.*DCP

would be two good patterns.

I can't say whether it is still an issue because I no longer own this printer model.
