I Can confirm this problem.
This problem exists with any other program, like Firefox, Texteditor etc... It seems to be a gnome problem.

In gusty, this seems to only be a problem with epiphany, but it seems to be a problem with many applications in hardy.

There is an option to print a selection in Firefox 3 (tested with firefox-3.0+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1).

In the GTK+ printing dialog (File -> Print), choose the Options tab. You should see a check box for "Print Selection Only." It will be grayed out unless a something has been selected in the text before calling the print dialog.

I've added a screenshot of the dialog.

I wonder why other applications like epiphany, gedit and evince don't include this option as well. It seems like something that should be standardized for all GTK+ applications.

Same as above... should be a basic feature for the Ubuntu/Gome system?
