Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

step to reproduce:

1° set a keyboard shortcut:
    System-->preferences-->Keyboards shortcuts-->Launch web browser --> Ctrl-Alt+I

2° press Ctrl+Alt+I

Expected result: a Firefox windows with the default firefox home page configured by the user. ( ie www.google.com )
Actual result : a Firefox windows with the user home folder.

This behaviour is due to the url handler configured in /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http/command as /usr/lib/firefox/firefox "%s" , so when firefox is started with a empty url ( "" ) the user home is presented to the user.

this isn't a firefox bug. Maybe nautilus, maybe gnomevfs. Requesting proper reassignment.

Thanks for your report, that works fine for me with Gutsy and Hardy and tested it with firefox and epiphany. Did you tried to reproduce this with a new user account created on your system?
