Bug Description

When I'm trying to setup my 'dc=linux,dc=local' with dpkg-reconfigure slapd
When it parse the configuration its just 'dc=linux' in my configurations.

When I'm installing slapd package it gives never the dialog how I want my dc name setup, I notest it grab the string 'search' from '/etc/resolv.conf' and then it gets the right format.
"dc=unix,dc=local"

The base suffix is extracted from the domain name. What is the output of the command: ?

hostname -d

The base suffix is only prompted at priority medium. Running "dpkg-reconfigure -pmedium slapd" should fix your issue.
