deskbar keeps crashing after initial use

Bug Description

The Deskbar applet keeps crashing whenever I try to use it, the perplexing thing about the problem is that the initial use of Deskbar on any boot of Ubuntu works seamlessly, but after you close it and try to use it again Deskbar keeps crashing on you whenever you try to type anything into the Search box.

Forgive me, but I forgot to mention it, I am using Ubuntu 8.04, so will the repositories for Ubuntu 7.10 work on it?

Replace "gutsy" for hardy in the source and it'll work.

When I try to use the repositories this way:-

deb http://people.ubuntu.com/~ubuntu-archive/ddebs hardy main universe
deb http://people.ubuntu.com/~ubuntu-archive/ddebs hardy-updates main universe
deb http://people.ubuntu.com/~ubuntu-archive/ddebs hardy-proposed main universe
deb http://people.ubuntu.com/~ubuntu-archive/ddebs hardy-security main universe

sudo apt-get update gives me a 404 error for them.

The issue was fixed after an update on 4/12/2007 affecting the GNOME panel, the Deskbar Applet now works properly.
