Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
I have /media/www folder mounted from local NFS server.
It is shared with parameters:
/data/www 192.168.
Basically it allows me to do changes as "root" user from the nfs client, and it's ok.
It works with mc, krusader.
On NFS client with Nautilus I can reproduce bug:
if I go to some subfolder on this share and try "Create Folder", it does not create the folder in current folder, but some levels up.
Exampe:
with MC created:
/media/
go there with Nautilus and try "Create Folder"
folder "untitled folder" appears one level up:
/media/
The same happens if I try to create a file or create folder in even deeper subfolder.
The MOST DANGEROUS situation is when you try to delete some subfolder - parent can be removed. Haven't tried that now, but one colleague exprieced this removing whole project when tried to remove just one it's subfolder. God bless backups ;)
I guess this is related with all_squash. It is very dangerous bug.
Forgot to write that I have experienced this on Feisty and on Gutsy (currently).
