Adaptec SAS aic94xx in Ubuntu 7.10 Server Installation broken

Bug Description

Hi everybody,

never ending: We have two IBM Servers using the Adaptec 9410 SAS Controller. As we tried today the current Ubuntu 7.10 Server Installation-CD, the installer still fails to load the driver correctly and to discover the hd. Installation can not continue and fails. The installer offers a list of drivers to load, which is including the aic94xx. On selection the installer returns to the list and nothing is happening. As we can see on console 4, there is no message or even some error, why it is not loading or a loading attempt.

Any help appreciated!
