Gimp crashes while trying to open

Bug Description

Binary package hint: bug-buddy

When I try to open Gimp; on a windows XP computer. It will open the loading frame, go through the steps it needs to load. Then it will freeze at Fonts and then crash all together.

Because of this the Ubuntu project can not support or fix your particular bug. Please report this bug to the provider of the software package. Thanks!

I thought that might be the case. I was forwarded here to get help. I figure I should post and that way I could receive help. If I download this "Ubuntu repositories" It will be able to help you figure out what is wrong with Gimp then? Because I don't enjoy going through downloading everything.
