Bug Description

I got a black screen where the cd tray opens and Kubuntu asks you to remove CD and press enter after my install of today's daily build (Dec. 3, 2007). I removed the CD and pressed enter and the computer rebooted, but a newbie might not not know to do this.

I've gotten a similar error on my Acer Laptop with the Ubuntu Live Daily Build (Dec. 2, 2007). After the installation completes and I am asked whether I want to restart the PC or not, I chose yes. At this time the everything disappeared on the screen except for the Gutsy wallpaper. Little blue lines appeared at the top of the screen and after pressing enter, the CD ejected. I was force to forcefully shutdown the PC.

This still happens in Hardy Alpha 2. The wallpaper is shown instead of the terminal. I press enter and the CD ejects, and the computer restarts.
