Bug Description
In ALL Ubuntu versions when ADSL is being used Ubuntu rewriting the DNS address I set.
More specifically it resets the resolv.conf file.
The only way to avoid this is by setting up the addresses and making this command :
# sudo chattr +i /etc/resolv.conf
Many new users don't know this, and therefore having trouble connecting to the Internet.
So please fix this issue.
There are some distros like Knoppix that find the correct DNS and you can connect to the web doing nothing (assuming you have a configured router with your username and password setup).
Thank you.

If you have dhcp you don't have to worry about DNS, if you don't have, you have to set it up anyway along with the IP address, mask and gateway. In Hardy you can make profiles of these too so it's even easier. I don't think this is a bug anyway.
