Hi,
from your log:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/libapache2-mod-php5.prerm: 11: /var/lib/dpkg/info/libapache2-mod-php5.prerm: php5query: not found

This file is part of "php5-common"

It seems that due to a set of no-dependency/forced installs/removals you reached a point where the uninstall of libapache2-mod-php5 fails due to the other package being missing.

Please install the missing package and remove things in order (as it would be done by the dependencies).

That should resolve your issue.

P.S. I also see php7.2-common in your logs, that would only exist in bionic/cosmic - something is odd in your php dependencies for sure.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Since it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem, rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I'm marking this bug as Incomplete.

If indeed this is a local configuration problem, you can find pointers to get help for this sort of problem here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community

Or if you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem, explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to New.

Changed in php5 (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete

Thank you for your reply.

Since your packages came from a third party source, this is unlikely to have been caused by a bug in a package in Ubuntu, so I'm marking this bug as Invalid.

Feel free to reopen with an explanation if you disagree.
