RSS announcement date should be a drop down box

Bug Description

If I go to +announce and choose to publish it at a given date, it asks me to enter the date into a field without telling me the syntax.

If I enter an invalid date, it says "Please provide a valid date and time."

It should be a dropdown for the year/month/day/hour/minute (a calendar would be interesting too), and not a field for which it doesn't says the syntax (even if it said it that wouldn't be ideal).

Agree on this bug. At least, the page should provide a sample date&time string.

Yah, I have tried to enter a date and time in the field but was prompted with the same message. It's good to have a sample date and time or at least show the format for that field.

IMHO it shouldn't be an explanation of how the syntax is, but a calendar or some drop down fields where you select the date.

Sorry, this is not a one-liner, I replied to the wrong bug. We have a
general need for date-selection widgets that are cooler than the current
enter-a-date-as-text-in-obscure-format system, as soon as we have that,
this will inherit it.
