The other changes look good to me.

As per the DebianMaintainerSpec, the Maintainer field must have a @
ubuntu.com address

It suggests the use of ubuntu-motu@ for *verse packages. If you make yourself maintainer, you're entirely responsible for the package and you should discuss with the former maintainer.

I've unsubscribed ubuntu-universe-sponsors based on the candidate rejection in the previous comment. If the maintainer is unresponsive, please resubscribe with a new candidate adjusting the maintainer to one of the standard default maintainers. If you prepare another upload for this source in the future, and the maintainer has already been set to default, setting yourself would only be questioned lightly, if at all.
