Bug Description

Putting my Laptop into hibernate mode causes the following porblems:

1. hibernate does not always complete, but it pauses/halts and only continues when I press and hold a key or move the moues / trackpoint.

2. resume from hibernate mode also most of the time pauses/halts in the same way and only continues when I press and hold a key or move the moues / trackpoint.

3. after holding a key to resume completely the system still needs key or mouse actions to work properly, e.g. the system-performance applet stops to scroll for some seconds, or in terminal the last pressed key does not appear until another key is pressed.

(seems like the system need an interrupt call to continue to work, maybe the new tickless kernel does cause this problem???)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at [WWW] http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

I have installed the hardy heron kernel over gutsy and the issue seems to be resolved! I belive that gutsy kernel causes the bug.
