Bug Description

Binary package hint: file-roller

Making archives work fine in Gutsy, but whenever I attempt to make a tar.gz or tar.bz2 archive (through the context menu) in Hardy, I receive the following error:

tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

Although I receive this error, the archive is still created - seemingly without any errors.

I get the same error with Archlinux, so it seems to be an upstream bug.

This problem was fixed for me in Hardy Alpha 4 - or at least, it seems fixed.
