Bug Description
I tried to install Kubuntu 7.10 - Gutsy Gibbon and when the xserver should start (during installation, the "live session"), the screen get's black. If I try to press Ctrl+Alt+F1 (or F2 or ... or F6), the screen gets even darker (the monitor turns off, i.e. screen light turns off).
So I've got no way to manually modify the xorg.conf file.

After restarting the xserver, it worked fine...
