[Hardy] Clock applet settings cannot be changed

Bug Description

The clock applet settings cannot be changed even after unlocking the applet as it does not ask for the user's password as was the process earlier, no matter what you try to change, it does not occur.

Thanks for your report. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. Upon trying to reproduce the problem, I've noted that it seems to be sourced in the time-admin capplet itself, so I'm changing the source package to gnome-system-tools and confirming.

Same problem here--looks like a permissions problem--I was able to reset my time by:

sudo /etc/init.d/ntp stop

sudo ntpdate-debian

I have tried the solution suggested by Dean Loros on 2007-12-13 and it did not seem to allow me to use or change any of the ntd setting under the clock applet.

This issue is fixed when you upgrade the policykit-gnome package to version 0.7, this can be done by a simple update.
