I have no idea. I guess it reproducible because I have never been able
to run deluge without it failing. I've chalked it up to a bad
application.

Apparently the problem is the plugin WebUI (Web User Interface). I testing deluge-torrent 0.5.8-1 with enable plugin WebUI. Not problem. Please upgrade to the most recent version (0.5.8-1) if so work with Hardy Heron and let us know if you are still having this issue. Thanks!

Yes, I am using Hardy, but don't understand why I should enable the
webui? That makes the app stable?

Also the only way to stop deluge is to kill it. The quit function leaves
deluge in the taskbar. Quit, close, nada, must kill.

You work with version 0.5.7.1~debian-1, 0.5.7.1~debian-1 is old for Hardy Heron. Please update:

$sudo aptitude update
$sudo aptitude install deluge-torrent

Hardy Heron work with 0.5.8-1 not with 0.5.7.1~debian-1.

*Note: Hardy Heron an alpha release. Do not install it on production machines. The final stable version will be released in April 2008.*

I'm pretty sure 0.5.8 is the one giving me issues.

I can't even clean exit. I must kill it to stop it.
