mail not downloading to evolution

Binary package hint: evolution
I have mail on my comcast account that does not download onto my evolution account. This is a new problem only affecting some emails. For example, I no longer get email from a friend with an aol account. I am also not getting my NYTimes daily email. All of these were downloading prior to recent updates. THEY ARE NOT IN MY JUNK MAILBOX AS WAS THE CASE WITH ANOTHER PERSON'S EMAIL PROBLEMS.
