Bug Description

Binary package hint: debian-installer

using the 20071230 daily hardy alternate cd.

the installer boots and makes it through the language and keyboard selection.

then it fails with a message
"no kernel modules were found. This is probably due to a mismatch between the kernel used by this version of the installer and the kernel version in the archive ..." (i can get the rest of the message if it is useful)

on the log terminal there is a message
anna[7772]: WARNING **: no packages for kernel in archive

i can choose to continue.

then the search for network fails
"no network interfaces were found ..." (i have ethernet and orinoco card that usually work fine in ubuntu)

i can continue to partitioner, and set up partitons. but after i get the message
"The attempt to mount a file system with type EXT3 in IDE1 master, partition #13 (hda13) at / failed"

from here i can only go back to the partitioner
