powernowd causes firefox+flash to hang

Bug Description

Binary package hint: powernowd

Ever since upgrading to Gutsy, I have experienced regular lockups of Firefox whenever visiting a site with Flash components. The only way I was able to avoid the problem was to rip out Flash support (not acceptable) or rip out powernowd.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I gave up waiting for a response to the bug report and got rid of the machine on which I was experiencing the problem. I don't see how filing bug reports will do anything toward "helping to make Ubuntu better" if they're ignored.

I am closing this bug report according to your last comment. Please excuse the long waiting time, there are hundreds of bugs filed for ubuntu every week and we are trying to catch up with them. But since we all are volunteers only there are some bugs which are not being addressed at the right time. Sorry again for the inconvenience.
