Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-2-generic

I have configured a device for ndiswrapper, but as soon as I connect the device (or if I have it connected during startup) I get a kernel panic. This can be due to shipping the module from ndiswrapper-1.43 with a kernel version 2.6.24, since support for that kernel version did not enter ndiswrapper until version 1.50.

I have built my own module and that works-for-me.
I have also heard others complaining about this, so I was somewhat puzzled when I could not find any bugreports.

I can confirm this. ndiswrapper crashes the kernel using the r8180 driver for it.
