Bug Description

On a relatively new Ubuntu 7.10, Intel-32, putting /usr/lib/jvm/java-7-icedtea at the top of the list in /etc/eclipse/java_home, results in Eclipse 3.2.2-3ubuntu3 exiting startup with a log containing errors like "BundleException: The bundle could not be resolved. Reason: Missing Constraint", "IllegalStateException: Unable to acquire application service." and more. After changing to usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun, it will start normally.

Can you reproduce this in Hardy, using openjdk-6 which replaced icedtea ?

This work is being done on my laptop, which isn't set up for a test
partition. I'm reluctant to switch to Hardy while it is still in beta.
I'll let you know when I learn more.
Thanks,
